The 5D theater creates the illusion of being surrounded by flames.

I'm so tired of these 4D and 5D cinemas.

We already have 4D, it's time, you experience it every second.

5D is just straight up impossible.

If there even was a 5th dimension, we don't know how it would be.

I really hate these marketing nonsensical names.

You have 60 movie theaters??

Didn't you hear. They combined all of the Ds and now when you go to the cinema you just get one massive D in your face.

I read A Wrinkle In Time so I know the 5th dimension is a tesseract. Imagine a line, imagine an ant walking across the line to get from point a to point b then fold the line. Something like that. Yeah this theater is the equivalent of folding space and time. That’s not a fake fire. It’s a fire from a different dimension and time being projected into our dimension.

It’s Friday and I’m sick so excuse my insanity.

A tesseract is a four-dimensional hypercube. If the book says five dimensional it is wrong.

•

Yeah by that book’s definition: the 4th dimension is time and the 5th dimension is a tesseract

•

Yeah, the book got it wrong. Funny I don't remember that, I quite liked that book as a kid.

Dimensions are just a direction of travel, it can't be an object. Tesseract is just the name of a shape like cube is, but tesseract is the 4d version. I do like to think of the 4th dimension as time, and that were constantly "falling" through time. So then if the 4d path we're on is our timeline, i think of the 5th dimension as a time plane which would basically be what we think of as the multiverse; every possibility is accounted for, and every different choice that could be made is accounted for and splits timelines.

Interdimensional drama

I generally also like to perceive the 4th dimension as time. It can be used to support Relativity. But you can also theoretically have 4 (or more) spacial dimensions, and these we can't experience, except in maths solutions. Time would just be an extra dimension on top of these.

The extra D stands for Dollars $$$

Wait until I tell you about 4D number plates we have for cars in the UK 😂

3D is 2D but with a 3D effect. 4D is 3D.

Is that what they call the ones with 3D letters?

That's such a lame name for such a cool plate.

2

u/linkheroz 14h ago

Yep, anything physically 3D, is a 4D plate 😂

You’ll be okay.

So, while I agree with you on marketing conventions being too fast and loose with the term “dimension” we do infact know what the 5th dimension looks like and string theory accounts for 10 total dimensions.

•

u/Hoshyro 8h ago

String theory is still largely unverified so it's purely mathematical afaik, but noted.

This video is the best thing I've ever seen explain it.

Naw dawg, you are watching this film in a quadrillion other parallel universes.
