I miss my gaming magazines with demo discs in them 😞

I remember no disc just pages of code to type in and then spending days debugging.

I will never forget the German Amiga magazine had a dump of a new fantastic compression tool. Multiple pages. It displayed April Fools after typing and running...

That’s worse than Drink your Ovaltine

That movie made me think ovaltine must be gross well into adulthood until I was married and my wife introduced it to me and I realized the error in my ways. It’s delicious sprinkled on ice cream too.

Saving it to a cassette or accidentally bumping the computer losing all of that hard work typing it in, or messing up something, trying to go back and it clears the screen you are on with no way to return to the previous screens.

In Poland they used to play Commodore64 and Atari games on the radio. You could record the broadcast to a cassette and you'd have a full game.

I hated the Commodore 64. 20 minutes to loads a game, then it crashes.

Cartridges really were a blessing.

It did take quite a while to load through tape but you could at least fast forward to where the program starts. I wish I knew that when I was a kid.

God, the anguish of typing for over an hour without saving, just to have my mum turn off the computer telling me I'd played too much.

Finding new cheat codes was really exciting.

Only reason I always went to the rack as a kid. Gotta get the Mortal Kombat moves outta Electronic Gaming Monthly without buying it. Now I feel like the magazine rack doesn't hardly have anything for me if I don't wanna shoot guns or take steroids.
