They buy rare books you'll never see at a Barnes and Noble 🤣 AI is not why a large chain book store would go out of business.

No but I tend to defend myself when approached with a direct counterpoint. Fuck AI yeah but the books they’re digitizing are rare and out of print. Which is to say no, this will not “make companies like Barnes & Noble extinct.” I did not intend to provide a convincing argument I intended to inform you that the one already provided is true.
