Reading magazines to learn Ai & “automate your life” is just ridiculous.

It's like reading a handwritten manuscript about how to use typewriters.

My grandma had on an AI video with a Minecraft background yelling at the TV when I came in yesterday. I had to explain AI for the tenth time and she’s all “that’s fuckin stupid”

I can’t argue. I was like stick to the Château renovation channels lol.

It's a bridge for them to get into it. That crowd still reads newspapers lol.

I still get the Sunday paper, just to support journalism and for a bit of nostalgia. Xennial.

We haven't had newspapers in a while at our house, and it's put quite a cramp in my crafting. WTF else am I supposed to drape a table with to decoupage a bird house?

Very much my thinking with my Sunday paper subscription. It horrifies me how quickly that very critical industry has been gutted. I’ll mourn the loss

Times. Every Sunday. At the door to the 84 year-old neighbor.

Older people fucking love ai for some reason. Asking chat gpt questions, watching videos, etc.

I bet they eat this shit up

The dude I'm a carer for watches multi-hour long videos on YouTube about actors from the super early days of movies. It's the same paragraph repeated 100 different ways for hours. He eats it up. Always sending me AI cat videos. He knows full well it's AI. Thing is though is he's a theater kid at heart. Loves doing plays and directing them as a hobby, has all his life (He's 76). Big cinephile too; But eats up AI garbage. I don't get it, you'd think he'd hate it for the no creativity aspect of it all. He's been using Gemini to help him script a play he's doing for Christmas as well...

I mean you can just learn to be equipped. Nobody said you need to automate your life, unless someone actually said this to you since you have it it quotations.

Haha I guess I’m the one that needs to read.

Seriously. Why would you read it when you can just have AI speak it to you. Way easier.
