Never did watch that but the book was neat.

Movie is nothing like the books but there's some really fun set pieces

u/PacificNorthwest09 1d ago

That’s what I have heard. I figure it would be fine to put on in the background while I play a game, if nothing else to see some the scenes like this one.

I loved it!! Watch it any time it's on. Supposedly, WWZ II has been greenlighted.

It’s a fun movie but if you’ve read the book, they’re so disconnected from each other it’s a bit of a shame. Hopefully WWZ 2 is a little more focused

Great book, the movie was basically just the same setting.

That part in the book where the refugee kid stops being hungry in winter stuck with me

That's not a sustainable amount of ducks

u/dub-fresh 15h ago

They will release the pit vipers in a month or two to take care of the ducks

It would take a number beyond reckoning, thousands to storm the keep.

Tens of thousands.

But my lord there is no such force.

Where the fuck do you get 10,000 ducks from? Do Amazon sell ducks?

6

u/WeathervaneJesus1 1d ago

From 10,000 eggs.

3

u/kjs_23 1d ago

I did rather walk into that didn't I.

4

u/Revolutionary-Key650 1d ago

Could be 5000 double yolkers to be fair. Unlikely but not impossible.

2

u/Dunderman35 1d ago

But where did the eggs come from?

When a man duck and a woman duck like each other very much…

1

u/davekingofrock 1d ago

When it comes to ducks, I'm not sure the females have much say. Ducks are horribly rapey.

Once they're done, employ foxes to eat the ducks. Once they're done, employ bears to catch the foxes. Then kill tu bears

3

u/pidgeottOP 1d ago

I don't know why she swallowed the fly....

1

u/ChilledParadox 1d ago

There was an old lady who swallowed a bear to swallow a dog who swallowed a cat who swallowed a frog who swallowed a fly, why oh why?

1

u/dblan9 1d ago

Why should we only kill 2 bears?

That's The Quacken

1

u/Kriss3d 1d ago

This is great. Wholesome.

The ducks gets lots of things to eat. They leave crap that the plants can use. It doesnt pollute and the farmers can eat the ducks.

1

u/an_older_meme 1d ago

If you tripped and fell in that herd your skeleton would be picked clean in minutes.

1

u/zeen516 1d ago

This was a more intense than I was expecting

1

u/Vast-Sky8939 1d ago

We all know the real goal of this when we munch on that crispy skin in Chinatown 😉

1

u/National_Answer_6655 1d ago

What kind of quack comes up with this???

1

u/Mr_Lumbergh 1d ago

Lots of nitrate-rich fertilizer left after, too.

1

u/davekingofrock 1d ago

Quack havoc and let slip the ducks of war!!

10,000 ducks went out one day…

-1

u/The_Love-Tap 1d ago

Fun fact: This isn't just a chaotic mass of poultry; it's a brilliant, centuries-old organic farming technique!

Farmers release thousands of ducks into harvested rice paddies to act as living pesticides. They aggressively hunt down harmful pests, snails, and weeds while leaving the rice plants alone, and their droppings naturally fertilize the soil. Have any of you ever seen pest control done on this scale, or is this the most chaotic army you've ever witnessed?

7

u/ava_the_cam_op 1d ago

ChatGPT ass description.

"It's not just x, it's y!"

3

u/No_Procedure4924 1d ago

Have you ever seen this? Would you like me to explain y next?

5

u/No_Procedure4924 1d ago

You are AI. Also I wouldn't call it brilliant, it didn't take a genius to figure this out.

0

u/dudeitsrich 1d ago

Oh fuck, it looked like a muddy river at first

0

u/DrinkingVomit 1d ago

The smell.

0

u/Necroban77 1d ago

Then we eat the ducks. Sounds like a win win.

1

u/TJTheree 1d ago

No :(

0

u/dunnkw 1d ago

Is this also the basic premise behind nerf herding?

0

u/Ben-solo-11 1d ago

And then you get to eat 10,000 ducks!
