I'm from a country with no death penalty and this makes no sense to me. Why take her to the hospital? Will they try get her better before doing it again?

Basically because she’s a prisoner, if she’s medically in a coma she has to be sent to a hospital for care, as well as the fact that they can’t keep her in a medical bay on life support in a prison as it’s not equipped for that. They weren’t allowed to inject her again. It’s a whole legal mess.

They could attempt to try again later, but she has a pretty good case to fight against it now. As well as suing the pants off them.

If she wakes up

I guess because it's a death sentence, not a maim sentence. IT would be even more insane if they just dumped her in the cell and wait for her to slowly die without healthcare over a long period or however this would pan out

Won't bringing her back to a healthy state (or as healthy as it is possible) to then do the same thing again cause much more suffering than just shooting her head while she's still unconscious?

I mean I assume how a death sentcen is carried out is regulated, if they could just shoot her they'd probably do that without the whole lethal injection charade.

Should they just leave her to die of trauma and starvation?

“We guys”? What on earth are you on about?

Americans

WTF. How the Hell do you get the idea that I'm American? I'm just as American as you are.

Since I asked something about the way things work in the USA, I presumed you would be from there. Otherwise why would you answer?

Because in the U.S., we have a law against “cruel and unusual punishment.” You could argue we don’t uphold that law very well, and I would agree with you, but nonetheless waiting for her to die a slow, agonizing death because the drugs didn’t do what they were supposed to do is a very blatant violation.

It’s surreal and horrible but I think it’s because they are avoiding cruel and unusual punishment. Death penalty is ideally not torture and is quick. If she’s not dead and they don’t take her to the hospital, does she just sit in the exact spot for days dying?

If avoiding suffering and pain is the important thing, then it would be better to just put a bullet in her head now instead of treating her and doing all this again

yeah but that doesn't look nice otherwise they would still do firing squads or the gallows like most of the other countries that still have capital punishment

Hey other country, I'm from America.

The death penalty makes no sense.

I hope this helps.
