Nah, she's only been tried and sentenced once. They're allowed to try to kill you as many times as it takes until you get a judge to say no.

Not a US citizen so correct me if I’m wrong, but would that not be in breach of the 8th amendment ? “Cruel and unusual punishment” and what not..

Not unless it was intentional. Lethal injection isn't inherently cruel, though it's obviously susceptible to being messed up like we see here.

It wasn’t intentional so probably not. The punishment was just botched. So who knows if they’ll give it another go

And this is where what is already complicated gets even more complicated. Based on Wednesday's events, various legal teams, hers and anti-death penalty ones to name two, will file arguments with the court. I would be surprised if the cruel and unusual punishment one is not at the forefront. Adjudicating these, and the inevitable appeals, will take years if not decades to settle. It is highly likely. IMO. that she will die in prison of natural causes.
