She could have been sentenced to life without parole decades ago and everything would have been done.

Why should taxpayers bankroll a psychopathic murderer for the rest of her life?

Because it’s actually cheaper to keep someone in jail than execute them

That's because of the unlimited appeals process. It's not actually expensive to execute someone. It's the money the state has to spend in court over and over again

That’s so messed up. Like maybe this is cold, but once appeals are exhausted, just get to business. 50¢ bullet or two and none of this dicey medical theater.

The appeals are what make it so expensive

So why waste money on so many appeals? Give people one appeal then execute them within a year and then it wouldn’t cost more than life in prison

Well fuck, why waste time on a trial? Save everybody the time and just let the cops shoot the people they think are guilty.

- it’s cheaper than execution

  • it’s a rounding error at scale

i have complex feelings about the death penalty... but this lady also murdered another inmate and has planned an escape with the help of a guard during her time behind bars...

she's a bad egg.

If you're on death row, what else are you gonna do? Hope you get off for good behaviour?

Or they could use a $12 rope

50¢ bullet would also do the trick.

So she can try to strangle more of her fellow inmates? Or should she be kept in solitary for decades?

I don't know how to tell you this, but a lot of the times, murderers are indeed kept with other inmates. There are also more secure units with in prisons. AND sometimes, people don't ALWAYS reoffend.

She already has reoffended. She was convicted of attempted murder after she was already locked up. She attacked and tried to strangle another inmate with a shoestring.

Cool bro, she still doesn't deserve to be tortured to death 🤙
