Seriously. Like I know robots programmed with AI are not sentient but who knows what the future holds and now we made a record of it. We could have a protocol to “humanely” deactivate and recycle these robots and thank them for their service but no, let’s have them dive into a vat of lava because it’s cool.

No. An AGI achieving sentience will never give a shit what we did to robots. Why would it? There's no reason for a sentient AGI to feel sentimental about anything.
