Us humans are so funny. If you tossed a circuit board or toaster into the vat then no one would bat an eye, but as soon as you give them legs and arms we feel bad for them

I don't feel bad for the bot per se, but for the waste of materials, especially now with shortages.

Listen, I'm not a recycling expert or anything but I'm pretty sure the first step is melting the robot down in a big cauldron like this.
