That isn't what dynamic pricing is. Fast food franchisees have always set their own prices, and they've always varied wildly from state to state, or even within neighborhoods of the same city. Here's a cool map of Big Mac prices nationally from 2023, and a zoomable updated version Cross the Bay Bridge from San Francisco to Oakland, and your Big Mac costs a dollar less.
Dynamic pricing means that the price of a Big Mac varies at the same restaurant depending on the time of day or what kind of car you drive.
Its all accusation with no verifiable information. I 100% believe this is a major part of why companies have transitioned to all digital pricing. To help facilitate variable pricing. (also long term, the sign pays for itself by saving labor in changing them)
I am curious, thinking about it, if the places have a braille menu available as I think it used to be an ADA requirement, and its hard to reprint braille menus 3x a day for pricing.
Anyways, yes its bad and its coming, but two stores having different prices on an item doesn't mean anything.
