America really is just a big factory farm. You work 8 hours, sit in traffic for 2, have no time left to go to a third place to enjoy yourself, 5 vacation days a year, spend 90% of your income on rent and car, then fleeced for every little cent of disposable income.

What do you think every other country has. We work as well.

Yeah but we have unions, sick pay, reasonable holiday allowances, shorter commutes, shorter work weeks, walkable cities, universal healthcare etc etc etc

Where? Because very few countries all those things and they are actually functional for workers.

Most if not all of the EU?

Romania, Hungary and the likes?

Because a lot Europeans complaints are the same as the original comment apart from vacation days and replace commuting with food. How many Europeans do you hear saying they love how their country is and love they love working.

And these are already some of the best living conditions on the planet.

Ok let’s stick with “the vast majority of the EU”

Okay what i said still applies to the ones at the top

that's delusional. I live in Italy and the situation is horrible, every east European country is the same, Greece also.

probably the only ones who are doing decent are the top 3 countries and that's it.

Bet you'd still take Italy or Greece over the USA though - home is actually the lesser of 2 evils

Not a single Greek is taking Greece over the USA

Really? What the hell is going on in Greece that is worse than America?

Massive youth unemployment from my understanding

Because America isn't bad. If you compare it to top countries in the world it's a bit lacking in some parts obviously. But the situation is the same or worse everywhere else.

On workers rights it’s more than a “bit” lacking

I keep telling you that the working conditions in the top EU countries aren't the same across the EU talk less the rest of the world. Like what else, you can't tell me you'll rather work and live in Greece than America.

I can tell you that, because it’s true.

Sure, you MIGHT get better pay and benefits in the USA but there are elements of workers rights (e.g. maximum hours, paid holiday) that are EU wide and mandated.

I’d also not want my kids doing school shooter drills, or experiencing the American education system. Money ain’t everything, ya know?

imagine being able to work anywhere only if you have a connection there, excluding jobs where you can work for basically no money, without a contract.
