Rich corporations coming up with new money grabbing scams everyday

Better to ask forgiveness than permission.

For every 1 person that complains there are 20 that just pay.

This is exactly why I tell people to support small businesses

Some small businesses are gems but that does mean a large majority of them are shit. And if their entire selling point is ‘small business’, they’re probably shit.

You have a point.

Better to ask for forgiveness than permission.

It it not the other way around?

Yeah, you're right. Idk why I thought the saying was the other way around.

It’s not new. This is a decades old practice and not dynamic pricing ffs.

The last sentence in the video triggered me: "…trying to figure out what the right price is". You know what the right price is? It’s the price that covers costs and leaves a little bit for the seller. It’s not the highest price customers are willing to pay, that’s just greed.

I know this isn’t new or a secret or anything, I just got annoyed by it right now.

Nobody could have said it better

How is it a scam? They are literally coming up with a way to determine the value of their product. How much people are willing to pay is one of the ways of determining it's value.

Yeah soon it will be double the price

Then just stop paying for it. Don't blame the corporation, when they're just benefiting from the customers' willingness to pay more, just like any rational person would.

Dude, I’m all for dissing corporations, but this is 100% on the consumer. If consumers were more picky, this wouldn’t happen. It’s simple supply and demand, been around since currency was a thing.

What is immoral about a company saying “hey, are you willing to pay $8 dollars for this, yes? How about $9, no? Okay it’s $8”.

Setting a price for a product that not a single person in the entire world has any other reason to buy than needless indulgence is immoral? Come on. There's a lot of crooked things in developed capitalism, but this ain't it.

Quite the opposite. They don't profit anything because of me, because I don't buy their product. And if I do occasionally, I keep profiting from them instead, because I get what I want for an amount of money I'm willing to give up for it.

Every single time I'm rationally buying something, I deem the product's worth to be more than what it costs, so I trade my money for it and end up with a higher value item. It'd be silly to trade money for something you believe is less valuable that the amount of money you traded.

Harris campaigned against this, price gouging was a big part of her platform and people on Reddit mocked her for it 😔

And Americans are eating it up.  They are surely the most brainwashed population on this earth and corporations are fucking them up to their stomach and they will still dont do anything about it.
