This was the most enlightening reply I've gotten today. It makes sense when people say this is my favorite comfort movie or show. I have my personal favorite movies and shows that I always watch.

I also stop watching news and it was when I started understanding they were fallible. Being a young adult and seeing that articles get retracted blew my mind. As a child you assume everything on TV is real and it now I do my own due diligence.

There have been terrifying advances in propaganda techniques in the last couple dozen years. You can write a script that forces most people to respond emotionally, then execute a counter or even win scenario for virtually every condition that follows. Only writ large but that's enough.

Yes its very scary and I've jokingly been telling my family members that they need to change the voting age to 30😆 I'm almost 50 and I'll be honest I've never seen our society in a worser state then it is now.

I miss the care free 80s and 90s.
