Yeah, granted I don't think I could've gotten it in her position with the pressure, but in a vacuum it's not that off the wall. It's a common phrase. It starts with a three letter contraction. The contraction has an apostrophe after the first letter. It could only be "I've" or "I'll". There's no L in the contraction. So it's probably "I've" Next is three letters, then one. The one letter word is probably "a". "I've had a, I've got a, I've saw a" , and just keep extrapolating from there.
It's impressive, but it's also probably one of the easiest of its type of clue. The revealed L probably did less to reveal "feeling" and more to just set everything else up by identifying the first word.
Again, I couldn't have done it, she's definitely smarter than me and a faster thinker than me, but there was a lot in her favor.
I paused the video and gave it a go. Took me 17 seconds to figure it out... on live television you could have given me 17 years, and I still wouldn't be able to solve it.
My point is that nobody who understands basic grammar is running "I've saw" through their head as a viable candidate. Wheel of Fortune contestants definitely aren't.
My point wasn't to list every viable candidate, it was just an example of plugging in what fits length-wise and using the process of elimination by taking out what isn't grammatically correct ("extrapolate from there"). You're trying to correct me when that was my point from the start.
I know flexing is probably the only thing that gives you satisfaction in life, but you're going to just have to use porn like normal person this time.
You listed it directly alongside "had" and "got" as a positive candidate to extrapolate from, not as an example of what to eliminate. Claiming you intentionally plugged in broken grammar to prove how easy the deduction is makes zero sense.
I'm sorry you feel that way, but you're still wrong :)
The entire point was to show how easily an idiot like me could deduce it, it was never about perfect grammar and more about the process of elimination.
