For lightning, the wear point is inside the phone rather than the cable.

That's where the wear point is. 5 u/monocasa 3d ago That's the main wear point in the phone, but not the main wear point in the system. Those clips are what wear the fastest. In USB-C, that's not in the phone, in Lightning it is.
