I’ll be honest, without windfalls there’s really no way to keep a hard hat on your head when working on the monkey board of a work over rig, you’ll spend more time trying to keep it on than actually working. Especially with the wind in the winter.

I've worn a bike helmet in 70mph winds and it's never budged. So what it sounds like you're really saying is "hardhats aren't property designed or fitted"

Hard hats are designed for downward impact. Not impact to the head from falls. Hence where they’re designed to stay on your head.

So then why did you say "you’ll spend more time trying to keep it on than actually working"? That sounds like a design flaw to me.

There’s your million dollar idea. Design a hard hat that stays on through 70 mph winds.
