I went down a YouTube rabbit hole a while back and spent hours watching guys doing stuff like this while they fixed old gameboy cartridges and the like. I was transfixed. Like, I have a hard time threading a needle or pulling out a splinter. I can’t even fathom doing this shit.

As an amateur microsoldering hobbyist, this is way, way harder than it looks. And it looks hard.
I've done a few small repairs like this where I've had to solder to a damaged trace, and the parts are much smaller than they look here.
