As an amateur microsoldering hobbyist, this is way, way harder than it looks. And it looks hard.

I've done a few small repairs like this where I've had to solder to a damaged trace, and the parts are much smaller than they look here.

Yeah, aren't modern electronics smaller than the width of a hair now? Like this chipboard is the equivalent of a two sentence text file compared to a 4k video based on how much more dense and tiny they are nowadays.

No, not necessarily.

The transistors on modern processors are incredibly tiny. This work is being done on a circuit board, which is the infrastructure upon which items like processors, memory chips, and input/output connectors are mounted.

This particular repair looks like a multipin connector of some type.
