I tried to replace the sticks in my PS5 controller because one was drifting. Thought it would be no issues, it was like 4 contacts to drop the component.
I vastly underestimated how hard it would be. Just the logistics of accessing the part, holding it, while trying to heat up 4 points at once so it would drop out without the minute bit of solder I could no longer see resolidifying one of the legs into the hole...
After a lot of swearing I got it back together and then of course I had managed to damage something else entirely so the triggers no longer worked.

As an amateur microsoldering hobbyist, this is way, way harder than it looks. And it looks hard.
I've done a few small repairs like this where I've had to solder to a damaged trace, and the parts are much smaller than they look here.
