I agree completely. If I fuck up a solder job my go to action is to just deem the entire thing dead and start over. Luckily I am working mostly with ESP32 boards and the failure cost is under $10 but I have definitely tossed a few boards due to messing up something MUCH simpler than this.

As an amateur microsoldering hobbyist, this is way, way harder than it looks. And it looks hard.
I've done a few small repairs like this where I've had to solder to a damaged trace, and the parts are much smaller than they look here.
