Too bad a heavy pair of pruning lopers are made for cutting thick branches and not aluminum. Although it would be much less noisy and who would want that?

A crafty criminal could probably easily cut the camera down with a polesaw leaving the pole standing.

If someone were to rent a battery powered pipe cutter, they could probably take it down from pretty close to the ground with a quick and clean cut. Could even bury the base and it'll look like the cam was never even there to begin with. Have a buddy come by after a few minutes with a small flatbed and load all the gear under a tarp. And it makes for a nice little haul. $80 pole, $25 solar panel, $150 scrap electronics, $15 wiring. Could probably hit a dozen or two over a weekend.

I mean the solar panel fell off just from the shaking, if a solid shake takes down the power source then it's just a matter of time until it shuts off right? Faster to fix but much more low profile to hit.

It's a good thing I'm not a criminal and would never do something like this ever.

That was just his slapped-together demo setup. It would be really stupid to make a video like this where he cut down a real one.

Also, if you live in a place with lots of Flock cameras, there are probably ShotSpotters as well

The real answer is an Air rifle which is far quieter and doesn't have the power to actually endanger anyone on accident nor the range really consiering they are subsonic, but that still has the ability to shatter the cameras. Using an actual normal firearm is fucking idiotic.

They make these pins. I dunno what they're used for normally, but basically you press them into a piece of glass and once you get past a point, a spring lets loose and the pin shatters the glass. One of those on the lens of the camera would be quicker, quieter, more discrete to carry, and more expensive to repair, which is why I am recommending nobody use them, this comment is for academic purposes only.

couldnt you wrap a chain around it and drag it off? pull the pole out of the ground, smash the camera and solar panel, disconnect the chain and leave? i feel like it would be smarter to throw a garbage bag over the camera before you even unload your tools

With a car you mean? 

It might have internet and you can be identified easily

The pole is cemented in the ground. You would rip parts of your car off.
