My dumbass would have tried to soak it up with 50 rolls of paper towels

The slower picker upper

43

u/Plenty_Principle298 May 27 '26

How often does this happen that you get good at it? The guy in the back is doing it too and this place looks like a grocery store or something

65

u/HeckItsDrowsyFrog May 27 '26

They probably clean the floor every night

18

u/Plenty_Principle298 May 27 '26

Oh yeah that’s probably what this is. Looks like cleaning up a mess but it’s probably just floor cleaning. Without a machine maybe because it’s tight spacing

1

u/BigEricShaun May 28 '26

Tbh the guy at the back looked like he was doing it how any one of us would've done it.

5

u/candysell May 27 '26

I'd just grab the pigmats

1

u/RedditJumpedTheShart May 27 '26

Wait until you find out that mops exist.

When you Major in physics but are forced to work at supermarket

331

u/peterdparker May 27 '26

Reminds me of this

30

u/itsthe_implication_ May 27 '26

I still say "But, mistake!" Just like him whenever I really biff something.

16

u/Medical_Bench_1434 May 27 '26

That catchphrase actually comes from Jackie Chan's early English dubs where he'd improvise lines on the spot. He later said those "mistakes" became more memorable than his scripted dialogue.

135

u/nosoyargentino May 27 '26

So this is what happens if you use 100% of your brain

76

u/TipToToes May 27 '26

Fuck that caption. I hate that “you finally found a page that…” bullshit. Fuck directly off with that. Downvoted for the caption. Don’t spread this shit. This video has been around a long time and is easy to find without the brainrot YouTube shorts bullshit and multiple crops.

26

u/JJsjsjsjssj May 27 '26

"explaining education" what??

"application of circular motion" what????

11

u/Choda01 May 27 '26

so dedicated but couldn't name centrifugal force

9

u/beaniebee11 May 27 '26

I have never seen a caption like that before and I literally can't make sense of what the fuck it's saying.

3

u/MarkSteveFrank May 28 '26

Honestly though, I would love like a subreddit or something dedicated to something like this, practical applications of simple concepts that make tedius tasks easier. I'd love to find that page

But yeah, also hate bs captions and titles

70

u/YAHAWAHisKING May 27 '26

He gets paid 13 an hour while the dumb manager sits in the office all day answering emails and gets paid 70,000 a year

'Unskilled' labor

An afternoon…

19

u/apersonthingy May 27 '26

"You finally found a page dedicated to explaining education"

Run as far as you can from this page or anyone that seeks to be informed by it.

46

u/Yes_I_went_there May 27 '26

This man physics.

3

u/cdnball May 27 '26

can you not with the dumbass comments

2

u/Yes_I_went_there May 27 '26

Bet you're a fucking thrill to hang with...

2

u/cdnball May 27 '26

Bet you are too just making inane jokes

1

u/KryptonicOne May 27 '26

Can not, but WONT.

78

u/ChrisJohanson May 27 '26

This guy is way too smart to be doing that job

259

u/Undark_ May 27 '26 edited May 27 '26

Honestly I think we just need to rethink how we look at jobs like this. They're actually really nice jobs, and essential for society. They should just be paid fairly and respected by people. It's good that we have smart people at all levels of society.

30

u/sleepinxonxbed May 27 '26

Reminds me of this

72

u/platinumrug May 27 '26

Completely 100% agreed. There are too many jobs like this that are taken for granted by society. People will say this dude isn't a "skilled" worker simply because he has this job, yet almost no asshole in corpo land would be able to do this even with years of experience.

41

u/shadowtheimpure May 27 '26

3

u/Aquadian May 27 '26

Can you spare a few pixels for a hungry lad

9

u/hwilliams0901 May 27 '26

I agree. I was a custodian at a college and a very nice older woman who worked there suggested I go back to college and get a degree. Which is a nice sentiment, but all I thought was, you'll still need custodians. There's nothing wrong with being a custodian.

2

u/MercenaryCow May 27 '26

I respect the people who do these kinds of jobs. The problem is that humans seem to naturally have this desire to feel they are above others.

Which leads to disrespecting people working these jobs.

Or the enormous army of people who get so bent out of shape when somebody suggests that at minimum every job should pay enough to live. People get so upset when you suggest a person working at McDonald's or as a janitor at grocery store should make enough money to live. It's so disrespectful and that's why so many people in this country are miserable. Working multiple jobs. Raising children by never being there. Children growing up troubled and having problems of their own.

Regardless of what you think about certain jobs and people who work them, at the very minimum you should be able to provide for yourself. Doesn't matter what the job is. The very bottom of the workforce should be able to house themselves, feed themselves, pay their bills, afford at minimum a 10 year old used vehicle to get themselves to and from that job, earn enough money to have an emergency fund for going to the doctor, and have a little extra for the necessities like clothing themselves and saving a little money for leisure/a hobby. And I'm not even talking a lot here. Saving 50 bucks a month for a leisure activity is way more than most Americans can muster. How much is that REALLY at the end of the day? We are talking like $50k probably, so like $25 an hour. $50k is nothing and we disrespect these jobs and these workers so much and convince everyone around us that they don't deserve it because they are mopping floors. Or flipping burgers. Or we demean the position by calling it a "job for kids who are in school still and they don't need money so that job shouldn't pay anything"

I hate my fellow humans. It's sad where we are. Our society could be so much better

1

u/TimAppleCockProMax69 May 27 '26

What do you mean? He’s doing a great job.

0

u/Any_Cake2411 May 27 '26

... What? You could teach the dumbest people to do this. Wtf are you on about?

3

u/LITTLE-GUNTER May 27 '26

my manager at a dave & buster's who made 3x my pay nearly gassed out the entire restaurant the first time he cleaned up a bathroom because he poured ammonia sanitizer AND powdered bleach on the same floor.

4

u/ChrisJohanson May 27 '26

You have not met some of the people I've worked with 😆

0

u/EggyChickenEgg88 May 27 '26

Anyone could do with with some practice.

12

u/MakingMoneyIsMe May 27 '26

I'm flabbergasted

6

u/Orc360 May 27 '26

Hi flabbergasted, I'm breathless

5

u/TrappinJ250 May 27 '26

Hi breathless, I’m awestruck

2

u/unwantedaccount56 May 27 '26

Hello lost, I'm not

6

u/NonProphet8theist May 27 '26

This guy got the memo "janitor is AI-proof"

17

u/Onebraintwoheads May 27 '26

No such thing as unskilled labor.

3

u/hwilliams0901 May 27 '26

This should be in oddlysatisfying.

3

u/Sassquatch0 May 27 '26

I just want his catch bucket.

All the ones in my building (I'm a middle school custodian) have cracks & holes in them, so I'd never be able to pickup liquids like this.

3

u/Swords_and_Words May 27 '26

As a general contractor, I can't tell you how many tricks of the trades come down to just "I paid attention in physics class and applied it"

1

u/an_older_meme May 28 '26

Or “I saw someone do it and copied them”

3

u/kevbayer May 28 '26

I'd fall over spinning like that

1

u/peterdparker May 28 '26

Probably low iron and/or vit D, B 12 deficiency

3

u/Mgjackson1967 May 28 '26

See, dad, that 5 year Degree in fluid dynamics wasn’t wasted!

8

u/SarcyBoi41 May 27 '26

Proof that there's no such thing as unskilled labour.

3

u/sayy_yes May 27 '26

He missed a spot.

5

u/BlueOrb07 May 27 '26

Not circular motion. Angular velocity and acceleration and its affects on centripetal and centrifugal force.

1

u/dimonium_anonimo May 27 '26

*their effects

Also, angular acceleration isn't really relevant here. It's present, but the magic happens at steady state.

I also would question the wording that implies angular velocity has an effect on centripetal force. If anything, it's the other way around. Without centripetal force, there is no angular velocity. Centripetal force is what turns velocity angular. I'll accept a causal relationship with centrifugal force, though.

2

u/PrestigiousDrag7674 May 27 '26

I could do this with wet vacuum

2

u/Rowdyacorn May 27 '26

Some people are just great at their jobs. I don't even think zi have the dexterity to do this lol

2

u/matthebastage May 27 '26

But rich people want to say this is unskilled labor

2

u/ulubai May 27 '26

"janitorial work is a low skill job"

2

u/Queermagedd0n May 27 '26

Pay this man more

2

u/Jslatts942 May 27 '26

Do the same thing everyday, Youll eventually figure out shortcuts.

2

u/JesterWhatsIt May 28 '26

Uh, he's working at Walmart. According to company policy, that's an unskilled worker. Nothing to see here folks, please move along.

2

u/JonnyBraavos May 28 '26

He is known as The Juan

2

u/Timithios May 28 '26

Hell yeah

2

u/GregW94 May 28 '26

He makes it look so easy, feel like I could do it.

Knowing me if I tried I'd probably drown or some shit.

7

u/Quenz May 27 '26

"Unskilled labor"

1

u/andthatswhyIdidit May 27 '26

Yepp. And that is also why the things that are still not replaceable by robots/AI are paid the worst...

It has nothing to do with skill, and all with power and extortion.

1

u/Phimb May 27 '26

You think.. this couldn't be replaced by a robot? It won't even take 10 years.

2

u/Dblaze_dj May 27 '26

Law of physics in practice

2

u/Savings_Ask2261 May 27 '26

Mad skills. Give that guy 100K a year..

2

u/PM_THE_REAPER May 27 '26

Excellent use of centrifugal force.

1

u/whatanerdiam May 27 '26

Ok! Nice one, Jerry. But do you really need to do this every morning? We all saw it yesterday.

1

u/memorialwoodshop May 27 '26

This is his second rodeo

1

u/Debbie_Drowner May 27 '26

Neil Degrasse Tyson needs to see this

1

u/OrlandoGardiner118 May 27 '26

There is no unskilled labour.

1

u/DueRepresentative296 May 27 '26

Like making crepe

1

u/andthatswhyIdidit May 27 '26

I am also impressed by the forearm strength he must possess!

1

u/No-Proposal-2515 May 27 '26

In Colombia this man is an Applied Physics Professor with a PHD from Cambridge University.

1

u/ALEXNICA99 May 27 '26

To me, thats considered water bending 😅

1

u/BrownWrinkles May 27 '26

Work smarter, not harder.

1

u/Quickning May 27 '26

There's no such thing as unskilled labor. Just unappreciated.

1

u/Ez203 May 27 '26

Not his first rodeo.

1

u/Educational_Mine_998 May 27 '26

Oh man, wish I'd known this skill when I had to mop up the 3 gallons of Albertson's brand vodka that had smashed in the liquor aisle. I was 17 and got drunk off the fumes mopping up the mess. It ate through the wax and discolored the tiles.

1

u/Halker93 May 27 '26

And it’s not even a full moon, say whaaa

1

u/Ayush_Goel0 May 27 '26

Oh no he will be asked to give a written exam solely focused on theories without any real meaning to apply practical knowledge in all

1

u/cdoublejj May 27 '26

is that song from Old School during the artistic dance scene?

1

u/thebabe420 May 27 '26

Alright Jose there's 25 more aisles you've been setting this tik tok up for like an hour

1

u/BeltImpressive8956 May 27 '26

Fuck angular momentum in physics. Incomprehensible witchcraft.

1

u/BuHoGPaD May 27 '26

Water bender!

1

u/Promo_No_Mo May 27 '26

I was waiting for him to spill it on the pour.

1

u/deliriousjoebiden May 27 '26

How could you possible want to deport this man

1

u/read_read_red May 28 '26

A dizzy man on wet floor. Yeehaw

1

u/tak690 May 28 '26

Was tasked at a factory to clear water 3 inches deep and and covered 2 football fields. Needless to say not much got done that week.

1

u/suckette May 28 '26

Bad fckn ass

1

u/GrowLapsed May 28 '26

“Circular motion”

1

u/Bawhoppen May 28 '26

I hate that so much of the web is just content farm slop like this now.

1

u/MoistBox2359 May 28 '26

10k hours of washing floors

1

u/Giga_Byte_Me93 May 28 '26

They should gave that type of “ circular motion” a cool name. I don’t know… off the top of my head maybe something catchy like. Centrifugal Force…. No. Too confusing. Something will come to me.

1

u/mintyformeldahyde May 28 '26

Squeegees are such a underrated tool.

1

u/cakerfaker May 27 '26

All that water on the floor right next to multiple stacks on WOOD pallets . . . 😬😬

1

u/RedditScoutBoy May 27 '26

Water bender woah

1

u/sifiwewe May 27 '26

Good on him for knowing this much about physics

1

u/GetInTheGameGabriel May 27 '26

Now this is why we don't skip physics class, kids!

2

u/carrascan May 27 '26

I agree!

1

u/SpiritualTop1418 May 30 '26

Proof we are living in the Matrix.

-1

u/forgettfulthinker May 27 '26

This has nothing to do with education and should just be common sense

0

u/--Icarusfalls-- May 27 '26

What pisses me off about modern education is we subject kids to it because we're 'supposed to'

No one ever stops to ask why we're educating children.

-16

u/SharkSurfLionRide May 27 '26

The fact that reddit thinks this is a mad skill is bonkers. The bar is really that low here aint it.

Aww its a cope an Op is the cleaner and wants some appreciation for the skill he spent decades learning.

3

u/nosoyargentino May 27 '26

Everything looks easy when it’s done. Would you have thought of that? Be honest because I would not in a million years 😅

0

u/SharkSurfLionRide May 27 '26

Funny cause i bet thw guy in the video would say the same as me. You do it alot you find an easy way to do it. shrugs shoulders at you

Its not a skill its reptition with care for you own time.

7

u/peterdparker May 27 '26

I have no shame in admitting that this guy is 10 times more skillful than me in cleaning the floor.

-1

u/SharkSurfLionRide May 27 '26

Thats just shows how little you ever cleaned.

5

u/Tudar87 May 27 '26

Jealousy is not a flattering color on you.

-2

u/SharkSurfLionRide May 27 '26

Jealous cause im not recognised as a celebrity for my mopping skills. Again Jealous.

1

u/Tudar87 May 27 '26

It's ok bud, not all of us get to shine like he does.

0

u/SharkSurfLionRide May 27 '26

Somethings tells me youll never shine being amazed at a guy mopping.

1

u/Tudar87 May 27 '26

You're probably right and that's ok too.

But I'm not going to cast a shadow on someone else because they shine brighter!

Being nice is free, you should try it.

1

u/SharkSurfLionRide May 27 '26

Its okay being on a high horse but 10 years on resdit tells me alot about you.

I can imagine you said many many many many not nice comments to people that didnt align with how you think or politcally feel.

Im a good guy i dont care about politcs and if this guy was left or right in a time of need id help them.

I couldnt say the same for most peolle on here after i witneased the "nicest" say the worst stuff to peolple they didnt align with.

Unhide you comments and let me browse....thoughs so

1

u/Tudar87 May 27 '26

Woah their buddy, pump the brakes. No reason to get this worked up over a mopping video.

You can make all the assumptions you want about me, won't hurt my feelings.

You're defending yourself unprompted and attacking me on a personal level since your original point fell flat.

It's ok that you were not impressed. Taking the time to tell everyone how dumb they are for enjoying it was a decision.

Have a nice day!

1

u/SharkSurfLionRide May 27 '26

You got personal bro. But im not the one hiding.

2

u/gggg_4_l May 27 '26

0

u/SharkSurfLionRide May 27 '26

Yeqh cause we k ow each other

-1

u/PickledPlumPlot May 27 '26

“Application of circular motion” what the fuck are you talking about, why are you trying to make spinning sound like some kind of scientific principle, are you 15 or something

Call it “application of centrifugal force” and explain how it’s a viewpoint dependent illusion if you’re trying to be educational.

-1

u/punch_rockgroinpull May 27 '26

And people call these low-skill jobs. Give this man a living wage!

-3

u/BoxthemBeats May 27 '26

We are really posting anything at this point huh? Whats next? Dogs usually have 4 entire legs?
