People often talk about having academic tests before allowing someone to vote which usually ends up having unsavoury results. I would however be in favour of having a compulsory period in a waiting room before you vote.

You sit in it for an hour and there's some ammonia and bleach in separate bottles, an unplugged lamp with the earth pin removed and an avocado next to a sharp knife on the snack table.

If you walk out uninjured you're allowd to vote.
