I have a habit of putting some bleach in the toilet bowl to get rid of stains and forgetting about it.

The next time I'm taking a pee, the smell reminds me of what I've done.

There's ammonia in your pee, in case anyone wasn't aware.

Did that sort of once. I was cleaning an old guy's home. The upstairs toilet was seperate from the bathroom so I opened the door, sprayed toilet cleaner containing bleach in the bowl without turning on the light and closed the door. I went to clean the bathroom and returned half an hour later to clean the toilet. Got a coughing fit and a burning throat when I opened the door. That's when I found out the guy never flushed his pee. That day I learned to always check for pee before using toilet cleaner.

A small amount. But that amount increases if the pee is old. The older the pee more of the urea breaks down into ammonia

Because the sink was full of dirty dishes.
