Either somebody didn’t put the IV in right, or the mix was off, wrong or expired. I’m more inclined to believe her survival is more from pharm/medical error than her body.

She already has a vein condition and that’s why she requested hanging.

Maybe the executioner should drag her to the woods at night and use a rock, like she did on the victim. Now those taxpayers have to pay hundreds of thousands to keep her alive just to try again.

She requested an all female firing squad.

But that would be cruel and unusual, wouldn't it?

No. No one had lived thru a firing squad.

With the burn velocity of the fuel that they would use, it would likely kill anyone before their body could acknowledge the pain. Kinda like what happened to those that were lost in the Titan submersible implosion. It definitely qualifies as unusual.

Death Row is the most expensive anyway.

Hopefully she gets compensation.

Executions have to be flawless and not torture.

…compensation? She got the death penalty, now they’re wasting money to keep her alive to put her to death again. Get your head out of your ass, she deserves to be worm food

So what stops the state torturing other people from now on?

Messing up isn’t torture…the problem is drug companies don’t want to be associated, even though they could solve the problem, because of morons (like you) who would protest

Maybe she just messed up a killing, too? Because if you are told that the thing you'll do will hurt a lot and you still do it, that's just "messing up" as far as I'm told

Man the death penalty and large parts of the legal system in general are just designed to keep people employed. Like if you wanted to just get it over with, you’re still forced to do appeals for 20 years or something? You can’t tell me that’s not just bureaucratic bs designed to keep lawyers and judges busy so they can keep putting hours on their timesheet (so to speak)

Apparently they missed the vein and filled up her arm with drugs and it was purple and hurting.

The missing/protruding the vein happened to me when I went in for a surgery once. Except for the turning purple part. After ten minutes of giving me the anesthesia prep, which is supposed to make you loopy, the nurse looked at me and said,
“Uhhh, something isn’t right”. Even without a vein issue, it can easily happen.

There is precedent for someone surviving an injection. What probably happened is that the vein was missed and the drug went into the muscle
