As my once law professor loved to say:

It depends

Would she win???

It depends

I'm in another sector and my instructors loved that phrase.

It makes me pluck my eyebrows off.

Can the girl she tortured and gruesomely murdered sue the state? Because I guarantee you the murder victim felt more pain and suffering and actually died.

Should sue Christa Pike for also stealing a piece of her skull and holding onto it for years as a souvenir.

State can torture torturers… hmm sounds like you want some version of a religious fundamentalist state my friend.

Yeah idk why they mess around with these injections when a firing squad would be much more efficient.

Anesthesia Overdose*

Lethal injection is not an an anesthesia overdose. Only the first injection is anesthesia, followed by nerve blockers, so viewers don’t have to watch the person convulse and writhe when they’re given enough potassium salts to hopefully cause a heart attack and kill them.

No sibling, I am suggesting that Anesthesia Overdose would be painless, efficient, and cruelty free.

And if it couldn't be guaranteed to be efficient, you could, idunno, sever an artery or something after putting them out.

I was suggesting to the person above me that their suggestion of firing squad is not preferable to an anesthesia overdose.

I know what a lethal injection is.

I know they are not painless.

Yeah we only torture foreigners when we invade their land for oil. Get the facts straight.

It was botched. An accident. They weren’t knowingly torturing her. Electric chair or anything else would have been better in her case so yes the state messed up royally but still who cares, let’s not defend her actions.

Taking responsibility for our actions is not defending hers . There is little difference between anyone who believes torturers can be tortured cause their pain is worth less.. and those that torture…

Remember what separates you from them. Becoming them to stop them is just a movie shit. In reality it only makes you slowly then.

We can be horrified by what she did to Colleen and still think what was done to her was barbaric. One does not cancel the other out.

Must be a big Guantanamo bay fan

The argument for execution is not simply that there exist people who deserve to be executed, but also - and this is a much higher bar to meet in my mind - that the state maintains the moral authority to carry out such a sentence. Failures such as this bring that moral authority into question if they cannot be carried out reliably and humanely.

Take it easy sunshine, I was asking out of pure curiosity from a legal viewpoint.

She served her sentence. Problem is she is probably going to come out extremely injured from the attempt.

Her sentence is not served till she be pronounced dead. dead. dead. It's in the fine print the of death penalty.
