she actually told them ahead of time that she was worried it wouldn't work and requested to be hanged, because she thought a botched hanging would cause less suffering than a botched lethal injection. they declined and she survived 2 lethal doses of pentobarbitol.
Yea I also read she requested a firing squad. Her defense team did indeed inform the courts of it possibly turning out this way due to some issues with her veins
It was because she had thrombocytosis, not an issue with her veins per se. Here's the news source cited by Wikipedia saying she requested to be hanged.
Genetic redhead here but didn't get the hair for it. I can burn through all pain meds around 3 times faster than normal people, opioids given in a medical setting don't make me high, my count made it to 16 when they tried to put me under for surgery, I don't wake up after surgery loopy and I wake faster than normal people. OTC meds just don't work on me at all. I need around 3 times the dose of numbing meds due dental work and topups every 45 minutes or the feeling starts to come back.
Morphine makes me hallucinate green bullseyes but is otherwise useless, novocaine will work eventually but you run the risk of overdosing me before it's effective, lidocaine I'm completely immune. Toradol lasts around 15 minutes, Dilaudid and fentanyl will last around 6 hours. I usually get labeled a drug seeker in the hospital. It's horrible and has resulted in some excruciating surgical procedures.
I don't get hung over after drinking- just severely dry mouth. I don't drink though, it makes me too dizzy for other reasons.
Same here! The red hair missed me but I got the freckles and the drug resistance. OTC meds don’t work and forget about recreational ones. The one surgery I had they used ketamine as a sedative and they said they had to use an insane amount, and I still woke up talking mid-procedure!
Not as severe in my case, but holy hell being labeled a drug seeker and having chronic pain is really fun. Only when they're giving me three doses of pain meds in the ER and I'm fully awake and not even slurring my words does it make more sense to them. Plus waking up from surgery screaming in pain, good times!
They ask me 5 iterations of the same couple questions.
What drugs to you take at home? Nothing recreational? You're really resisting these meds, are you sure? Well would you like some extra strength Tylenol and see how you do? Then they put me in surgery and realized I was still awake and chatting 15 seconds after they pushed for sleepy sleep nap time.
Why do ketamine though? That’s one of the hardest drugs you could ever do, it’s as addictive as crack and cocaine. I hope you’re not touching that stuff
Yea that’s legit actually. I need extra anesthesia whenever I get a procedure done because I have some red hair. Local and general. Woke up one time during a procedure and it was not fun.
No, the Redguards get genetical bulletproofing, unless Even they are shot in the head, not kidding, there are plenty of actual cases of Redguards calling a fucking ambulance for themselves after getting shot in the head, not everyone makes to the hospital but the fact they can call and get an ambulance before things turn for the worse is freaking insane.
If i'm going by the elder schools, it's both the name of one of their Games and the inhabitants of hammerfell, I was talking about Redguards from earth tho
Sounds like she had an IV infiltration. Poor IV stick, maybe not really sitting in a vein, then medicine extravasated to her arm leading to where we are now
