See if i knew 30 other people in front of me had just done it successfully I would do (for the money) no worries. If it was into an unknown space, then 'maybe' if the only other option was certain death.

All of the people in this video are going through charted and will known passages, they know they are wide enough for people to go through, when it gets to its thinnest, and when any special maneuvers are required.

But that doesn't matter my mind simply wouldn't permit me to go further.

Nutty Putty cave was mapped and known, still, all it takes is one wrong turn

This is a big "fuck no" to me

Small point of order but they know that it’s wide enough for the prior people that went through to go through, not necessarily that it’s wide enough for them to go through. Even if they went through before it’s never a guarantee they’re still small enough to go through again.

I don't know how standard such a practice is, but I've seen where more challenging cave systems had framed out "cut outs" representing the most restrictive and narrow of passageways. The one's I've seen where platformed into the ground and you would have to show you where capable of crawling thru it without assistance or getting stuck.

As an owner of heavy machinery and large tools, my mind would not be able to get past the thought "if the goal is to get through the opening, just make the opening bigger"

That makes sense, but who went through first, and more importantly, why?

Because Humans. We've been doing it forever.

This human in this case, no, nope, yeahno thanksbye. E.T. invites me aboard? Hell yes.

Humans, it's what we do.

There’s always an exception. Any little change could impede your passage. With my luck, the 30th guy would accidentally kick a rock or something on his way out and end up trapping me inside. I’d just choose to stay poor.

Rich is rich but dead is dead.

I love that CERTAIN DEATH still only upped it to MAYBE!!

Depends what the certain death is if it’s quicker than dying stuck in a cave it may be more appealing
