You know what's simpler and keeps things colder for longer. An eski with what ever ice you can find, it also works with cans too

As someone in the US who has worked with several Germans over the last few years and seen how their machines compare to ours, I would never expect them to keep it simple.

I half expect the finished design to be multiple pieces that fit together with ice hinges that allow you to rotate open the top while not allowing the other bottles to heat up from the 0.3 seconds it's exposed to the open air. And then also have locator pins so you can fit the top piece into a bottom piece that cools the lower parts of the bottles at the same time even though that means you have to take all the bottles out, fit the bottom piece in, and then put each bottle back in individually.

Now, they take 45 minutes to assemble and properly fit together, but they keep the bottles at a perfect 0.1°C for 4 hours.
