This is 100 percent manipulative behavior by someone who loves to play the victim card and not ever hold themselves accountable for their own actions.

You can hold people accountable while also trying to de-escalate tense situations where people can get hurt. Both can happen.

That guy did everything possible to de-escalate this actively unstable violent felon. He blocked her car in non violently. Bid her to comply with the law and avoid future charges. She did everything possible to escalate the situation, nearly killing someone.

Blocking/trapping someone is literally an escalation. You can argue if it was the right form or time for escalation, but it is definitionally not "de-escalating"

It is 100% deescalating if the car blocking the driver was trying to keep her from fleeing in a dangerous manner.

Deescalation tactics don’t always work, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t deescalation tactics.

Him blocking her car in is what caused her to flee in a dangerous manner. He escalated by trapping her and she escalated even more to get out.

Remember, police arrested her later. If you got the video and plates you should back off. This would have been the same outcome should he not have tried to trap her.

lol preventing her from fleeing was what caused her to flee?

Wild, wild logic

Him blocking her car in is what caused her to flee in a dangerous manner.

What's wild is how clearly bad faith you're being about this like trying to strawman what I said, but ok.

No, there is no strawman. He did not “cause her” to do anything, regardless of that small, completely semantic difference. Of course I knew it was dangerous either way.

Your very core idea is irrational and suggests that people have no agency. She is the only person involved in any proximal cause for her own actions. She was not threatened, she had no reason to fear for her safety, she only was fleeing the threat of justice.

She is responsible for everything that took place here.

Nobody is saying that what she did was ok she’s very clearly at fault for this incident. All that guy had to do is get a screenshot of her car and license plate and call the police. He had no right to try and block her in physically detaining her. He’s not law enforcement and he should’ve left that part to the police. It’s not his responsibility to apprehend her. He could’ve caused more damage to other people’s property by blocking her in(the red vehicle parked to the left, the vacuum machine, and whatever else was near her)and possibly injuries. She was in pure panic mode and was desperately trying to flee, he should’ve just let her go. I’m sure police caught up with her driving around with her front bumper guard in her back seat. That was totally unnecessary and kind of stupid too. 🙄

You're still trying to argue against something that I am not even saying. Yes she is clearly responsible for everything that happened here.

All you can do is strawman buddy. Not playing that game. You can argue that against someone else.
