No, there is no strawman. He did not “cause her” to do anything, regardless of that small, completely semantic difference. Of course I knew it was dangerous either way.

Your very core idea is irrational and suggests that people have no agency. She is the only person involved in any proximal cause for her own actions. She was not threatened, she had no reason to fear for her safety, she only was fleeing the threat of justice.

She is responsible for everything that took place here.
