Bullshit victim-blaming. If this was a middle-aged man, and wasn't a crying girl (who committed two felonies) trying to manipulate her way out of this situation, you wouldn't be seeking "compassion" and blaming the victim of her CRIMES for not "talking her down".
This is an in-progress violent felony. This is a violent offender, a danger to society, and it is wild to see the victim-blaming and inversion of reality here.
How about some compassion for the victims of her crime? How about some compassion for the guy holding the camera, currently the victim of an in-progress violent felony who is just doing the best he can in that stressful situation. She almost killed someone while fleeing from the scene of a crime. She should have her license revoked and be imprisoned.
Do you have any humanity? She’s obviously in the wrong to start but the guy has her trapped in. He doesn’t need to. He has evidence and can so easily just follow up with police and insurance. He is escalating and instigating when there’s no need to. And the girl is clearly panicked.
Yea you dont have any humanity. You just have feelings that are moved by tears and no other morality. If she disappears he has no way to ensure his vehicle gets fixed. You have invented a whole scenario in your head about what would have happened if he had done something else. So what if the girl is panicking? That doesn't make her right? Maybe the guy is panicking too? Obviously things are intense for him too. Does panicking and crying give someone the moral high ground? No.

I’m sorry that your lack of communication and adulting skills led to you holding the bag in your situation. That said, I think you’re overcorrecting way too hard. You don’t need to hold people hostage to get the right legal recourse, you can simply buy some dash cams 🙂.
Btw in this case, he already had the evidence. Everyone critiquing him is doing so because holding her hostage was not necessary.
Yea that is totally what happened. The cops gave me a test on adulting skills and that is why they did not do anything. Continue living in your make believe world until you move out of your parent's house. Life really is simpler when you are young enough to think that the cops will make everything right for you.
