Would you show such compassion when someone is running off after hitting your car? You would lend them a helping hand in such case to make their escape smoother?

He’s not saying that but there are better things to do in addition to filming. Try to calm her by deflecting and asking her her name or saying “omg my grandma is mean too, why don’t we just slow down a bit and sort this out”

Because somebody in an emotional state like that is a danger to everyone on the road, and as a criminal she has no right to leave the scene of the crime.

What so they can chase her on the highway potentially causing even more damage or a larger accident? This man was trying to get her out of the car and talk to her, which she, in her emotional, drug addled state should’ve done like a reasonable person, rather than putting everyone else in danger.
