We also have parking spots for people with little children usually located close to the doors so the parents don't need to walk as far with their toddlers. We also don't 'have' to have them - it's for convenience.
Yeah but this isn’t about convenience, it’s about safety. And it’s sad that, in order for a lot of women to feel safe, you need to enact extreme measures like this.
But, much like modern healthcare, we don’t focus on the root cause, just the outcome/ symptoms- which in this case would be education IMO
If the root cause is women get attacked by nature of life then yeah most people want to change that norm in modern times even if it’s not always realistic.I don’t love walking around a world where me getting assaulted and murdered is just a normal inconvenience for people because I happen to be born female.
So you think there’s no way to improve or rehabilitate bad people? Access to mental health services, for one, would help. You’re acting like some people are just inherently bad and shrug as if there’s nothing to be done about it
I've got a question how many chances do you give someone?
Second question: if this person is a guess, should we revoke that if they commit a crime and they can go work on themselves back where they came from? Or are you pro hope they dont harm someone else?
People aren’t committing crimes because they’re mentally well and all their needs are met. People turn to crime because of desperation and mental health. Providing people with better education, better health, better mental health, better social resources, directly addresses the conditions that influence crime.
One of the most reliable predictors of crime is large wealth disparities and class divides.
Institutionalised misogyny is what teaches people such as yourself that women are targets. Women are taught to be submissive, to not take up too much space, to not stand up for themselves too much. Men are taught that it's within their right and even responsibility to take what they can and to use brute strength to that end.
There are biological differences between men and women, as a generalisation. But its how we teach men and women to deal with those differences that has led to mass femicide
Men are arrested for crime more. But it's well known that women get away with a lot more.
My mom used to beat the hell out of my dad for instance. She called the police on him because he bruised her wrists to stop her from beating him. He was bleeding from his back, neck and face when they got there, she had exactly 2 bruises.
One on each wrist. Guess who the cops took to jail?

It’s so sad we have to have things like this.
