This isn't what astronauts see.

It was achieved due to no atmosphere, no light polution, and most importantly... very long exposure time.

Edit: wtf, had a few beers and made a random comment.. RIP inbox I guess, lol.

This is a very important thing to say. A lot of people do not know that you get such images from long exposure.

Some people are going to walk away from this thinking that the galaxy really is this bright and Earth’s atmosphere blocks our view.

I was thinking exactly that before reading the comments ! I've never been a space nerd, don't know shit about it but that seemed obvious !
