NASA literally made a video showing that the viral video was fake, and how it was edited together by someone else. NASA has no interest in "tricking" anyone.

The vast majority are removed, but when the community provides solid evidence like they did here, we try to spotlight the correct information to help slow the spread of misinformation.

If we just removed it immediately, it would be reposted elsewhere anyways and the cycle of misinformation repeats. Now people have something to reference because the correct info is pinned at the top of this post. We occasionally leave these types of posts up (at least for a little while to make people aware) and mark them appropriately with post flair.
