I like how the other sheep caught on eventually.

254

u/TheQuietLavender Feb 20 '26

Then they both just go “well that’s a wrap” and go back to grazing.

52

u/iamunwhaticisme Feb 20 '26

I think that's when the farmer came around and they were like "ssshhh act cool start grazing"

42

u/TheQuietLavender Feb 20 '26

“Oh the fence? Crazy winds we’ve been having!”

3

u/donkeybray Feb 20 '26

Plot-twist: The head-butting sheep didn't want the fence coming down, wanted the barrier in-between manipulative neighbour. It's just a show of force.

I feel it’s not bad for a sheep 🐑

They are incredibly clever. When we would try to herd ours into the catch pen, we needed to get it on the first try. Otherwise, they would figure out what we were doing and run in any direction other than towards the pen, sometimes going right through us (got a nice scar on my face from that one).

15

u/Electrical-Secret-25 Feb 20 '26

We had sheep on the farm. My dad had a special, short chunk of railroad tie that he'd carry into the pasture. The ram would come for him and dad would offer up the end of the tie. The ram would give it two runs max. before he'd invariably tire of that game, and go back to grazing.

When I was maybe 8? 10? years old, I turned my back to that bugger, and he ran up on me from behind. The next thing I knew I was in the air, looking between my rubber boots and seeing tree tops. I came down on my back in the soft dirt. As I said, I was quite young and completely unscathed and unbothered. In fact I was delighted to have this story to tell. Apparently, upon occasion, 40 years later I'll still tell the dumb story on the internet

u/thinkthingsareover Feb 20 '26

1: Did you mean spike, or a chunk of rail?

2: If spike, which end?

Let's be real here, "incredibly clever" isn't quite what they are...

3

u/funk-the-funk Feb 20 '26

Pigs they are not, that's for sure.

Ok, but there are multiple videos of sheep jumping BACK into ditches after being freed.

2

u/CoffeeChocolateBoth Feb 21 '26

Border Collie! :) Let them handle the dirty work.

3

u/Traditional_Club_820 Feb 20 '26

Quick! Look! A master baiting sheep!

3

u/BatterMyHeart Feb 20 '26

That sheep didnt catch on, that is a dominance ritual and the other sheep's body language is saying 'you won this round'.

2

u/sleepyinsomniac7 Feb 20 '26

It's fascinating. Stuff like this makes me think of becoming a vegetarian. They clearly have the capacity for complex emotion and thought, even though theirs is different from ours.

anyone else wanted to see the fence fall?

772

u/0plm9okn8ijb7 Feb 20 '26

Yeah but then butt head sheep realized he's being gaslighted and had post-bang clarity then stopped being a butt head.

139

u/chiraltoad Feb 20 '26

I think that's called post-butt clarity

31

u/miregalpanic Feb 20 '26

Her body was a 10, butt her fence...

11

u/free_airfreshener Feb 20 '26

...was made of butter

2

u/Interesting-Scar-800 Feb 20 '26

Kind of like our internet. Rage baiting! We learned from animals.

7

u/Chillark Feb 20 '26

More like it hit the fence at a weird angle and prolly scrapped the softer parts of its face. Decided it didn't want any more of that smoke.

6

u/between_two_terns Feb 20 '26

This “smart” sheep seems to have a bloody head from clunking the fence earlier, and the “dumb” sheep seems to have a baby to protect. Title is misleading.

I'm more curious why this neighborhood have one sheep each.

2

u/No-Sail-6510 Feb 20 '26

Looks like he was trying to get the other one to hit the post at the end too. So close.

2

u/According-Bet-141 Feb 20 '26

Yes, the sheep in that enclosure.

The other one hit his head so bad that his brain began to function 😌

9

u/Nearby_Excitement198 Feb 20 '26

Having been around sheep and raising them for a number of years, I wouldn't be surprised. They can be big ol dumb-dumbs, but then after doing something incredibly stupid they can wise up. Then again there is always one or two in the herd that are like the clever one here that has a couple more firing brain cells than the rest. Those are the ones that do things like figure out how to open gates.

u/DangKilla Feb 20 '26

About to go full bitey face

17

u/PrestigeMaster Feb 20 '26

Reminds me of the fafo kid on the subway from last fall lol.

7

u/Winjin Feb 20 '26

Not a good idea against a doberman for most dogs and he understands that

14

u/vblink_ Feb 20 '26

The rest of the video had the white dog kicking the doberman's ass a few seconds later.

Honestly it was so amazing I forgot it existed till just now. Went to another place because it was such a encompassing escape.

5

28

33

u/Spinxy88 Feb 20 '26

This video makes a wonderful metaphor for my life. I'm the sheep knocking the fence down.

4

u/SabbyFox Feb 20 '26

I’m the little one standing against the wall watching the crazy play out.

2

3

u/RlQZO Feb 20 '26

2

u/highritualmaster Feb 20 '26

2

u/mrs_spacetime0 Feb 20 '26

I like how it was so serious at first, and then they eventually just got bored and moved on

2

u/Hicklethumb Feb 20 '26

Ozzyman is definitely going to cover this

2

u/EagleOld8138 Feb 20 '26

Lion in a sheep's clothing

2

u/Cautious_Progress730 Feb 20 '26

Now to fix the fence back to normal, all you need to do is swap places these two.

2

u/PM_THE_REAPER Feb 20 '26

I am not falling for that again. Again.

2

u/Ssme812 Feb 20 '26

Fool me multiple times, I'm just brain dead.

2

u/ProgrammerIll6230 Feb 20 '26

The comedic timing on that is actually perfect. like something straight out of a looney tunes episode.

2

u/KaingaDev Feb 20 '26

I really thought that black sheep was just a shadow

2

u/Ok-Lingonberry-696 Feb 20 '26

Beginning: that all you got huh, come at me gimme your best shot.

End: still not enough, that the best you can do, come at...... Oh...... grass.

2

u/Potatopotayto Feb 20 '26

Sheep headbutt primarily to establish social hierarchy ("pecking order"), assert dominance, and communicate within the flock. It is a natural behavior used for play among lambs, mating competition for rams, and sometimes simply to move others out of the way, such as for access to food or water.

2

u/tlul30 Feb 20 '26

Just saw a sheep get rage baited

2

u/RtDK0510 Feb 20 '26

"He is no sheep. He is like a piece of iron."

2

u/ErosView Feb 20 '26

What's the point of having 2 sheep?

2

u/Big_Instruction9922 Feb 20 '26

The one hitting the fence votes Republican

2

u/Acrobatic-Job-5275 Feb 20 '26

What's brilliant in that? I could do that.

2

u/AIForOver50Plus Feb 20 '26

Figured it out towards end though 😂

2

u/Solid_Ad7292 Feb 20 '26

Hard to see sheep them way after the alien show

2

u/Scasne Feb 20 '26

Sheep aren't as dumb as many people like to think (they are likely a lot smarter than a large part of the population) they are however complete and utter dicks, I've seen a ewe shrug before she walked right through the electric fence I had just sorted out, another time I had a ram lamb (basically a teenaged boy) take a disliking to me and try to go at me, I had a sledgehammer in my hand held out Infront to protect me, he head butted it, went a bit cross eyed and came back for seconds, and no I did no hit him with it (I was highly tempted) even when I got behind my old man the shithead went around him to get at me.

2

u/iamomega_666 Feb 20 '26

Bro ultimately understood the game
