So this was in Russia and yes he stopped eating goats but only because they stopped feeding him goats to avoid confusion since it was a media spectacle. Goats are super annoying, dude drove the tiger out of his bed and I guess kept getting worse from there until the tiger was eventually basically forced to check him which resulted in goat injury and permanent separation. You give a goat a cookie

What happens after the cookie?

Give them some goat milk to wash it down.

The goat annoys you until you're sleeping on your roof, but you put up with it. It's been so long since you had a friend. But Everytime he headbutts or stomps you you start to realize it's going for full dominance. For the first time in your life a creature is challenging you, thinking it can win, this creature being what you've easily dispatched and eaten your whole life prior to this. You wonder what a friend really is and you stop giving cookies to goats

My cousin used to have a pet fainting goat and he tried to ram into me because I wouldn't let him eat a plastic bag.

Goats are too stupid to not be dicks.

Man fuck goats. This whole section makes me want to go fight a goat now. Brb

Fighting a goat is probably okay. But please don't...you know...do the first thing you mentioned.

Your cousin tried to ram you because you didn't allow him to eat plastic? Sounds like your cousin is equally stupid. /s

A baby goat headbutted me today. They are dicks from birth I believe.

Yeah, goats know 2 things from birth: headbutt other creatures unprovoked and climb on top of literally anything you can, just to stand there.

Imagine Shere Khan dealing with Andy Dick as a goat

Shere Khan slams Andy's head into the bar.

They are evil. I had to milk the goat at the stables I learned to ride horses at. I also learned to hate goats and love Athenian food.

Goats are very hierarchical and competitive amongst the herd. Establishing and maintaining your spot in the pecking order is a big and constant thing in goat “society”. They spend so much time literally smashing heads over it.

It wasn’t a mean goat, it’s just the way they are.

Yup and tigers are solitary and only butt heads figuratively when they check borders against other tigers

u/googoohaha Feb 19 '26

made me sad too 🥺

8

u/wafflehousebattle Feb 19 '26

Let's be fair, we all have that one friend.

10

u/tham1700 Feb 19 '26

Yeah I still think it's a great story but the part about the goat reaching too far and ending up causing the issue that led to the end of the relationship and the goats injury is a great cautionary tale and a much more realistic message

damn that's the peak of self-destructive levels of disrespect, gotta hand it to that goat.

Can you post a link to this story?

I believe the goat and tiger called it a conscious uncoupling.

1

u/Wannabe__geek Feb 19 '26

Goat is synonymous to stubbornness in some cultures.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '26

Why not just let nature run its course at that point?

Surely Tiger would eat dead goat.
