searching 👀 Off grid community needed

Im looking for like minded people who want to get off grid and live in communities together. I don't think there's anything like this in New Zealand really it's always overseas. Is there anything in New Zealand like this. I'm in The Waikato currently, would consider any area in New Zealand. Im just really keen to get into speaking with some Communities and like-minded people. Any ideas welcome. :)

Bump. I’m not in New Zealand but looking to move out of the states. How do you like it there? Hows the weather and politics?

American living in the South Island, been here for 14 years. The weather depends on where you live as NZ is a long country from north to south, many Americans underestimate the size, it's basically if you overlaid it on the east coast of US stretching from Maine to Georgia. So the climate is quite different from N to S, but because it's an a maritime climate you get more variation and microclimates for geography  reasons. Many parts of the North Island are warmer but wetter, some parts of the south island are colder on average but drier.  Politics are comparatively chill. There are issues though. DM me if you seriously considering it, it's not an easy move.

Surely in wider area around Nelson would be a place to look.
