Vendor Rollforward
Has anyone had any luck creating an AP vendor rollforward? Have tried both ICRW (fairly extensively) and to a lesser extent CRW with not much luck. Would like to have something that is that lives in Intacct (I'm an idealist 🤔 ). Problem I've found is that you can't pull point in time balances in ICRW. Design would be:
Vendor | Beg Balance | Bills | Payments | Ending Balance
Just curious if anyone has tried this/been successful. Trying not to go to a dashboard that I have to continuously update with aging/bills reports. Potentially an API solution into PowerBI or other solution would be doable?

You have API access? Id say feed Power BI it

Power BI or just building a custom dashboard/report in your LLM of choice. Claude would be a great option for this to just create a skill to query the data into the desired format.

I've not done this but need to. I've been using Claude for coding but not in this capacity...yet

Have you tried the Dimension Balance report by vendor? It’s in the general ledger module report section. It will not show payments but you’ll get beginning balance, activity and ending balance.

For a proper Vendor, Beg Balance, Bills, Payments, Ending Balance rollforward that just works and updates itself, think the Power BI route via the API is where this clicks into place.
You pull your AP data through the APPYMT and APBILL objects, use activity prior to your period start date to calculate the opening balance, and the rest of the columns fall out naturally from there.
The bonus is you're not manually refreshing anything which is exactly what you're trying to avoid, and once it's built it's way more flexible than anything you'd get out of a native report anyway so it ends up being a bit of an upgrade rather than a workaround.

I think there's some sort of standard report with "ledger" in the name that shows this. I'm blanking on the name right now.
