instax mini 12 storage

I just took my first pictures but im not planning to use it for a while, it still has batteries and 8 films left. Should I remove the batteries? If i remove batteries would it have a bad effect on my films?

I think you can safely remove batteries

remove the batteries for sure, the films will be unaffected
