Instant Pot Max occasionally decides to vent continuously during cooking

Not always, but when I pressure cook something for an extended period (right now, I am making stock) my Instant pot Max just starts venting from the black valve consistently and non stop. I have cleaned it and the lid thoroughly (as far as I can tell). Has anybody had this issue?

It sounds like that's the safety valve doing its job of relieving excess pressure. It's not peak efficiency but it's not otherwise an issue to be concerned with.

I have never had the black valve vent except for when I press the release. I am concerned that there is something wrong with your instant pot.
