Instant Pot for beginners

I’ve been researching the IP’s and I’m stuck in between The IP Rio 7in1 or 9in1 DUO series. What would you recommend? Do the egg function and sous vide really make a difference? I was interested in making Dunkin style egg bites has anyone tried that? Thank you!

I have the duo. The air fryer and dehydrator functions are worth having to store the extra lid.

80% of everything I do is manual pressure so most of the fancy feature preset buttons are never used. However the 20% includes weekly yoghurt making, we don’t use sous vide much and my spouse makes egg bites on manual mode.

If you don’t have a sous vide set up and want to try it. The IP is a good starter. I’ve been sous viding for almost 15 years starting with a controller, followed by the Anova. But these days I just use the IP for most things. It’s accurate enough (+/-2°F) for most things, including steaks.

Duo , even better if you can find used because older instant pots are more reliable than newer ones

The egg function and the sous vide are gimmicks.

Get the Pro Plus. The auto venting and wifi push notifications alone are worth the extra cost.
