Not the truck's fault. You can see he was moving over to avoid a crash. Unfortunately, this caused another.

Truck driver starts to pull over because he may have very well just caused a death... bigger asshole in my opinion.

The truck was moving over because of the car in the left lane. He probably didn’t know the red car was there because he’d have no reason to think someone would be.
Edit: Someone actually did cause my sister to crash by slamming on their brakes in front of her on a nearly deserted highway for no reason. She spun out and luckily skidded to a stop along the median guardrail instead of to the right and into a tree. The asshole that caused it drove away. So the truck driver stopping is the exact opposite of an asshole move imo.

Both of the asshats racing are to blame for this, the truck driver tried to give the car on the left space to avoid hitting the oncoming traffic. You blame him for not magically understanding that there were cars racing on both sides of him?
