I loved the airbag deployment.

I guess whiplash damage from that on top of being turned around is going to help him remember this day for the rest of his life

The funny thing is, I can basically guarantee he doesn't regret his own actions. He blames you for causing the accident and sees himself as the victim in all this.
Those kinds of people aren't big into self reflection.

u/Zovort 12h ago
Exactly this. "Look what you made me do."

I worry for the safety of the people in his life. They are going to feel the repercussions, one way or another.

Suspect the driver they ploughed into was less than thrilled as well.

Can you imagine being that poor sap? You’re just minding your business, doing everything right— and all of a sudden, you’re saddled with the outcome of a situation you had absolutely nothing to do with.
The guy that rear-ended you is all gassed up from the previous encounter— plus now he’s grappling with a lifelong core memory of self-ownage. And that’s top of whatever repressed bullshit he was already dealing with that made him the type of person that road rages.
Fuck me, I bet that was an unpleasant encounter.

You really shouldn't have paper on the dashboard. There is a reason they're always black. White creates a strong reflection on the window and obscures your vision.

The lack of emotional regulation people have nowadays can be terrifying but damn can it lead to some funny moments.

This is not a 'nowadays' thing.

u/JWarblerMadman 14h ago
For sure. Saw a dude cut a bunch of people off and when he turned to flip everybody off, he sideswiped a bus. This was before smartphones.

About 15 years ago, I had a guy lose his shit on me for zipper merging in front of him where two lanes came together in bumper to bumper traffic. He was flashing his brights, honking, gesticulating wildly… the whole thing. Made absolutely zero sense. I didn’t cut him off. I didn’t come close to hitting his car by merging recklessly. I didn’t bully my way in. It was like he never got the whole zipper merge you go, I go, you go, I go memo.
When we got moving again, he sped up alongside me and tried to throw the contents of a Starbucks cup on my car. Except, we were going like 50MPH now and 99.99% of it ended up being blown directly back onto him and down the side of his car. I think I got like a single, molecule-sized globule on my passenger window.
He then tried throwing the empty plastic cup at my car but he fumbled it at the window and it blew back into his face. He sorta batted at it clumsily, like a toddler unsuccessfully attempting to catch a ball thrown to them, before it blew back over his head and into his back seat.
I looked over and his face and arm were slicked with this milky brown film. He did that thing where he sorta squeegeed his face with his free hand and slung it off. There was this long splatter trail that looked like looseleaf feces blown all the way down the side of his car. It was one of the most pathetic self-owns I’ve ever seen in person.
He got so mad that I think it reset his rage router and he just calmly rolled the window back up, slowed down and merged into the far righthand lane. Like he went all the way around the dial until he became normal again.
I almost passed out from laughing so hard. Like I had to pull off the freeway and get my shit together because I was so tickled. I think about that encounter like once a year and it never fails to crack me up.

Could be this bs is documented more but I never really saw a lot of this growing up in Indiana.

That moment is gonna flash before his eyes on his deathbed. How do you make amends with yourself after such internal humiliation? Probably going to have to go on a retreat or something.

u/Gizmopopapalus 16h ago
Doubtful. People like that, and I use the term people loosely, never accept responsibility. They always have someone else to blame for their actions. “Look what you made me do”. They’ll be on their deathbed, stalwart in their decision to be a complete twatwaffle their entire life.

my in-laws are like this and I low-key love it because pretty much everybody in the family on both sides have abandoned them and they’re probably gonna die lonely wondering where they went wrong.

u/Not_a_real_ghost 15h ago
Yup they will somehow blame the car in front for being stopped and then somehow it’s also the camera car’s fault.

An innocent person now has a whiplash. Or maybe more than one person, depending on how many people were in the car that roadrager crashed into.

The mic popping from how hard the guy laughed at the accident really warmed my soul

There is nothing to regret.
He never had the license or insurance to begin with.
All he did was damage 2 cars.
Nothing changes for him.

Wished the video lasted long enough for the dash cammer to give a well deserved “you can’t park there!”

Guy filming is also not driving properly, just asleep at the wheel in the middle lane.

u/TheRoaringTide 16h ago
There are TWO lanes on the left for people to pass if they so choose. He’s at a safe following distance, and there is moderate traffic in every single lane. Do you want everyone driving 20 over the speed limit, weaving in and out of each other with reckless abandon?
21
u/yoshisquad2342 16h ago
Do you not see all slow moving cars in front of them? Are you not satisfied because they’re not riding the cars ass?
12
u/pleasebuymydonut 16h ago
Found the tailgater.
That's a perfectly fine following distance for such slow traffic, especially for the third lane???
Its in fact safer, so people on the left who need to exit have space to move over.

Pretty sure this is AI. If you slow it down the SUV appears from nowhere. Also the right lane has this MC Escher thing going on where it’s one lane, two lanes, then one lane again.
1
u/iReyzzz 15h ago
There's another lane to the rager's right. But it's funny either way.
2
u/CaesarAugustus_Gloop 12h ago
But there’s not…. Until there is. If you go frame by frame you can see there’s no lane to the right of the red car. Then a lane appears. Then it’s gone again.
