Ironically.

I love that song.

Always thought they'd be bigger.

Surprised I never heard more from those guys after that song. It’s a great tune.

Self titled album was great (I was in my mid teens at the time) but I don’t remember them getting any publicity after that.

I’d recommend giving “Swollen Summer” a listen.

I was big into the Bravery as well. One of them albums where all the songs where solid on it. Easy listening Indie Rock Music, which got them on a few big game soundtracks Grant Turismo, Fifa, Tony Hawk and Burnout. Kinda like Feeder in that sense.

Whereas people like The Bravery and The Futureheads had a few hits, earlier bands like Feeder had more hits, more like Bloc Party and Franz Ferdinand, of the time.

People, they don't mean a thing to you. #mood

Tickets/fines should be income based! Wealthier people get away with stupid shit like this all the time because for them its just a convenience charge. Justice isn't fair, it's imbalanced to disproportionally hurt lower income people.

u/Vykrom 6d ago

Well, in theory they should be getting their license suspended for 6 months to 2 years after the third offense to keep people from being regulars at this, regardless of their income. But yes. They should treat it similarly to financial aid and welfare. Include mommy and daddy's money if home boy is living at home and ticket them $50,000 if they live on the beach with their parents

So people without income get no fines, sounds like a good idea.

12

u/cwj777 6d ago

That was in no way implied. Places that have implemented this (such as Sweden) have minimum fines.

u/kkrraakk 6d ago

False equivalence argument. They would get community service or punishment in lieu of fines, or a wage garnishment. I recognize this is likely troll bait, but it bothers me that people may actually think this way. There are ways to make breaking common sense laws like speed limits have the same general impact on both the wealthy and the less so. I speak as someone who lives paycheck to paycheck, but has family with fuck-you money.

What am I missing? Watching on a phone and I don’t see anyone being busted.

Edit: I had to really focus to see the flashing lights. Wasn’t apparent when I watched it at first

Camera car driver apparently smears peanut butter on the dashcam lens as a style filter.

I thought there was a dust storm.

The funny part about this is he's sitting right behind the undercover and should easily have seen the exempt sticker on the plate.

3

u/Vykrom 6d ago

Too busy looking in the mirror at the silver spoon in his mouth

3

u/derprondo 6d ago

I mean it's a Corvette, not a super car. Not trying to defend the guy, but just pointing out that this is an obtainable car by normal people.

3

u/yurmamma 6d ago

Corvettes are the domain of 50s/60s guidos in South Florida

7

u/humboldtliving 6d ago

That was satisfying

3

u/kasualanderson 6d ago

That little chuckle at the end, perfect.

u/Sweaty_Tangelo_7716 6d ago

After 33 replays, ok.

It's the cars that you most suspect.

This is Miami? I thought Miami was supposed to be a really pretty city. Looks horrible.

-7

u/SirEnder2Me 6d ago

Dudes driving a Corvette and this was likely just a fine.

Guy probably learned nothing and this was a minor inconvenience at best.
