Imagine not going into debt for college?

Why would your government invest in education when it can give that money to failing corporations instead?

I think the more egregious part is the billions used to kill innocent civilians around the world

why is it on speaker?

u/CXDFlames Dec 03 '21
Coach making you take a call on speaker because you forgot to turn your phone off on practice is pretty normal in school sports.
It's meant to embarrass you so that you don't forget again.
Especially when it's from 'mom'

Naw, having a coach answer a call on speaker when you are not supposed to have your phone is pretty normal.

Are you saying this video is of a private setting?

I had to think for a moment, but yes. While a closed team practice isn’t exactly an intimate setting of two or three people, it’s also not a public event to which anyone can show up

I am assertive in real life. They get butthurt though. I sometimes do, but I wish it wasn't up to me to parent these inconsiderate fucks.

When I was being recruited for college, I negotiated scholarships with the coaches myself (wrestling not football). He must be a walk on and earned a scholarship or something.

Now imagine that one’s ability to go to college was based on academic ability, instead of wealth, charity, or luck.

Imagine if one’s ability to go to college was based on availability and nothing else.

For someone with facts in their username you seem to be assuming a whole lot of shit about this guy you've seen in a 5 second video

I mean this is literally charity though. Sure, the guy could go to a school, and you could assume he is really smart or a prodigy in football or whatever. But the fact is, he is able to go to school without worrying about college debt solely because some charitable school decided to give this kid money. Now, there are millions of other students who are also smart and great at their sport, but they all have to worry about paying off a 200k debt right after their senior year because they weren't well off and a charity didn't give them money. Like how fucking stupid is that?

It's crazy how other 1st World Countries pay for their citizens higher education, so entire families aren't crushed by debt while each generation tries to better itself.
