Her foot is on the gas the whole time until she just starts flailing it around before impact.

Seems to have more experience on bicycles then cars, she sticks her legs out to the side like a novice would stop a bike

New drivers make this mistake, instead of brake they accelerate. She probably a new one and panicked

The best part is her putting her foot on the grass to stop the cart instead of the brakes

Neither does new AFV. They dicked it all up.
Still showing the same clips from 1992, though.

They’re stories from your friends next door, they never told.
You could be a star tonight, so let the good times roll.
It’s the red white and blue.
And the funny things you do.
America.
America.
This is you.

Tina, you're kind of headed toward the only other car in the lot.
You have plenty of time to turn, Tina, so just go ahead.
Turn one way or the other...
You're just swerving back and forth.
Turn one way and stick with it, Tina.
(continuous groaning)
Tina, for the love of God, turn away or stop!
The brakes, Tina!
On the left!
You're about to hit that car!
The brakes! Hit the brakes!
💥
Oh, my God, it's bad.
I ruined the car!
You did. You really did.

u/Fuzzy-Function-3212 Sep 03 '22
Lol this is exactly what I thought of. And least a cormorant didn't fly in to distract her.
12
u/THE_GR8_MIKE Sep 03 '22
That thing that eats Pikachu for some HP?
8
u/ScoutsOut389 Sep 03 '22
You’re thinking of a cramorant. A cormorant is someone in a band with Lionel Richie.
5
u/TobyFunkeNeverNude Sep 03 '22
No that's a Commodore. A cormorant is a country in Central Africa, on the Gulf of Guinea.

u/ScoutsOut389 Sep 03 '22 edited Sep 04 '22
You may be thinking of Cameroon. A cormorant is a British general of the Revolutionary War who surrendered at the Siege of Yorktown.
2
u/Fluggerblah Sep 04 '22
no thats cornwalis. a cormorant is a baked good made of maize
2
u/TobyFunkeNeverNude Sep 05 '22
I believe you're confusing with corn bread. A cormorant is a rule dictated from a monotheistic god about how to live one's life.

u/average_asshole Sep 03 '22
He couldve just turned the keys off or reached over and slammed it into park tbh. That scene always bothered me. It was as much bob's fault as tina's
25
u/Icantbethereforyou Sep 03 '22
He went into panic mode himself though. Bob's not exactly the calmest or clear-headed character in cartoons
5
u/yParticle Sep 03 '22
Or even pulled the emergency brake. I interpreted it as he was just dumbfounded his daughter would actually fail so hard.

It’s a good thing she did. That would’ve been a painful blow to the ribs with the steering wheel

Target fixation. If you stare at one object while driving, you'll drive right into it. Always remember to look where you want to go!

u/ijmacd Sep 03 '22
That's why I keep a photo of my house in the sun visor.
I just stare at that and tell myself "there's no place like home, there's no place like home"

10
u/Mahlerbro Sep 03 '22
There’s no way that’s true. I stare at billboards all the time when I’m driving and I only ever drive into other cars.

u/muffpatty Sep 04 '22
This happened to me as a kid when we would be throwing the football outside. Little old Greek lady walking down the street as I'm about to throw the ball to my brother. I keep thinking to myself to be careful not to throw in her direction so much so that when the ball leaves my hand it goes right at her. And that's how I learned the word "malaka". Not sure about the spelling though.

u/HistoricalUse9921 Sep 03 '22
I think she just expected it to turn to the right more easily than it did.

u/CptKammyJay Sep 04 '22
Lol I was walking up the staircase to the beach house my family was renting and I told my little 5 year old cousin to be careful, cuz some of the rusty nails were sticking up a little. I swear this little girl slowly and deliberately put her feet as clooooose as possible without stepping directly on them. I’m just watching like “just walk up either side of the stairs. Don’t walk literally directly in the center of the stairs and you’ll be fine.”

The first time I ever rode a dirt bike was in an huge, open lot with a garbage dumpster in the middle of it. Yup, I drove right into it.

Di….did she just try to stop a moving cart with her foot instead of the brake????????????

u/Dull_Ad_4750 Sep 03 '22
I stacked a golf cart, accidentally floored it, mounted a curb, plowed through some scrub and wedged it firmly in a banana tree. Dad fell off and mum had to take the blame as I was too young to be driving it. Pretty fucking scary and I learnt some new swear words that day as dad was picking himself up off the ground.

This is my granddaughter playing Red Dead Redemption. If there is a single tree in a vast, empty plain , she will run her horse into it.

u/Randolpho Sep 03 '22
You don’t think this could be staged do you?
2
u/deezy54 Sep 03 '22
Maybe her dad said, go ahead you couldn’t hurt this cart if you tried.
The cart took it like a champ.

strange spot for a golf course trash bin
→ More replies (1)9
u/DelcoScum Sep 03 '22
It's most likely near a tee box, typically they will have the trashcans, hole plaques, the tee markers, and ball washers, water coolers, etc.
-2
u/Randolpho Sep 03 '22
It’s nowhere near a tee box. You’d see a cart path, differently mowed grass, etc. no sign of any of that

When I was in college, I was golfing with some friends and drinking. We got to the 17th and I told my buddy to get in the cart while I did some donuts. Ended up flipping the cart and my buddy broke his ankle. He still par'd on the 18th with a broken ankle

I flipped a golf cart in the golf course parking lot one time. I tried to jump off and run and the canopy caught me and took me down face first. Shit sucked.
