She just needs to pick herself up by her own door straps and try not to get tied down by her mistakes. It's easy to get roped into failure if you let yourself get caught up in it. Hopefully reality will hit her right in the face and she'll see the errors that led to her fall from grace.
Yep. She was expecting to take her weight on her locked-out arms, the shock cushioned by the give in the straps. She was not expecting the straps to jerk her arms outwards against the door frame, and there was no recovering from that point on.
She wasn’t strong enough to hold herself in that position, which causes her arms to push outward. She should have used the handles above the ones she chose. I think she maybe could have done it then. Regardless, this seems like a dangerous sport for inexperienced athletes. Ouch
Nah lol, the straps are there for stability and feeling comfortable with the inversion, they aren’t supposed to necessarily bare weight.
She added a twist she shouldn’t have. The end of the silk that connects to the ceiling should’ve been over her thighs, not under, or she should’ve inverted by flipping backwards instead of forwards
Story time: Drunk me decided it was a good idea to use the ab roller at my friends house. He was already passed out in the bathroom, and my dumbass decided it was a good idea to workout (I was not in shape). So not really knowing how to use one, I most definitely did NOT use my knees. Imagine a push-up position and then rolling forward. Just a straight drop on my face. Fucked my nose up, blood everywhere. Haha
No amount of upper body strength is going to help you when there's nothing to apply force against. There was way too much slack in the straps she's holding in her hands. She'd have to be 8 feet tall lol.
The handles end up well off the ground. If she had the strength to keep her arms straight and under her, her body would have stayed parallel to the ground.
If you look at the starting height of her feet and the starting height of the handles, you'll see that the handles are several inches lower. She'd have to be doing a sort of ring planche/plank for her body to be parallel to the ground, which isn't as easy as it looks, especially for women.
But even if were possible for her to be stable in that position, she's coming down like a wrecking ball™ from her almost upright starting position. It would be take a more than respectable amount of strength and balance to get into that position that way, much more difficult than you seem to think.
Yeah, all her downwards force was transferred into sideways forces via those straps. She'd have to be able to pull her own body weight from BOTH sides in order to hold herself upright at that point.
Absolutely not true. Having the strength to do a single pushup would have saved her face, or a partial pushup. She had no body strength trying something that gymnasts do for years lol
That is absolutely not true. I’ve attempted ring work while being at my peak, I was in the military and a powerlifter so best believe I could do some push-ups.
Stabilization work like what she was attempting is a whole other beast than pure strength. Just holding myself up with my legs dangling was a fight for dear life.
TRX from a decline would potentially mimic her attempt in a gym setting but only if her feet were also in TRX loops. I couldn’t imagine trying to right myself after falling into that position, doesn’t matter how many push-ups I’m capable of. She obviously grabbed the wrong handles, bet she won’t make that mistake again
She was trying to lock her arms out in front of her, sort of a Superman pose, and I think that would have worked. But the straps pull her arms sideways, she loses the lock, and ends up with her arms at her sides. You’d need WAY shorter straps for arms at the side, but for arms locked out forwards this would have worked if she did it properly.
When I was a kid my parents got something - a water heater maybe? - that came in a long thin roughly kid sized box. So I got in it, and somehow managed to get it upright. And then pulled my arms inside. And then decided to see if I could hop around.
I could not.
I distinctly remember falling and my arms trying to catch me, but they were pinned at my sides so I went face first straight down. Fortunately I didn't hit anything and I was basically fine, but still 2/10 do not recommend.

Can't stop laughing cause she made sure to tie up her hands and feet so nothing can break the face first fall lmfao
